It is crucial to convey the message of why urban spaces are key to our cities and their citizens. They not only contribute to combating pollution and promoting biodiversity but also foster unity among people and social relationships; they are meeting points that foster connection and bonding among city dwellers.
The Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy is the largest global alliance of cities and municipalities committed to combating climate change. In the Latin America region, the Pact is financially supported by the European Union and brings together more than 650 cities that have joined this far-reaching initiative. This collaboration demonstrates the collective commitment of local authorities in the region to address climate challenges and move towards a more sustainable and resilient future for our urban communities.
