Efficient water management through local governments: ICLEI MECS training session
On September 11, at 11:00 a.m. (Mexico City time, CST), ICLEI Local Governments for Sustainability – Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean (ICLEI MECS) will hold a virtual training session on efficient water management through local governments.
This activity is part of the agenda that the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy (GCoM) is promoting during the second half of 2026 across Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, in collaboration with its regional partners. The goal of this agenda is to strengthen the capacities of local governments to address the region’s climate, energy, and environmental challenges.
The session will cover the main challenges local governments face regarding water sustainability, as well as tools and strategies for more efficient and resilient water management.
The training is free of charge and open to local government officials, as well as anyone interested in sustainable water management.
