The Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy (GCoM) is updating its database with the contact information of its signatory cities and invites all to confirm their details. Accurate contacts are essential for the distribution of future communications from the initiative, ensuring that involved cities are aware of all available opportunities, events, resources, and support.
Rebecca Borges, the international advisor of the GCoM Helpdesk for the Americas, highlighted that cities and local governments committed to GCoM will be contacted on various occasions for future campaigns: “Updating the data is crucial for municipalities to stay connected to all project activities in the coming years. Those who do not want to miss any information should update their data soon,” Borges explained.
The list of cities whose contacts may be outdated is available here. City teams can also submit the requested information directly through the form in Spanish or Portuguese.
A notice has also been sent to the current contacts of all signatory cities in Latin America. If the person responsible for GCoM in each city has not changed or the commitment is recent, the municipality may use the form as an opportunity to provide other requested information, such as details related to the communication department or division.
During the update, it will also be possible to correct information about the city’s administration or local government and their points of contact.
Communication
GCoM periodically prepares communication campaigns and content; therefore, the program also suggests providing contact details for the municipality’s communication team to follow future campaigns, as well as the government’s social media accounts and/or profiles.
