Both cities decided to learn from each other’s strengths. San Pedro de la Paz focused on a poor neighborhood: its goal was to make San Pedro de la Costa a clean, safe and accessible neighborhood. Berlin Neukoelln, for its part, wanted to learn from the implementation of Chilean legislation to ban plastic bags and the management of citizen participation processes.
