Description
In the first study visit, representatives from Ibagué explored how the city of Graz, in collaboration with other stakeholders, is co-creating and co-developing strategies for an innovative smart city approach and the integration of urban and rural areas. During the discussions a central theme emerged, related to entrepreneurial dynamics and the creation of coworking centers. The experience to be capitalized focused on the required infrastructure, the integration of stakeholders in the project, the necessary management structure, the financial challenges and the best practices used. During the second visit, cooperation work began in the areas of mutual interest (river enhancement, coworking spaces and entrepreneurship). Based on Graz’s experience in the use of subway wells for water supply, Ibagué and Piedras requested their support in the planning and implementation of a project to build subway wells to improve water supply in both cities.
