During the visit of the Alba Iulia delegation to Benedito Novo, a proposal for a tourism pilot project to be implemented in Benedito Novo was identified, and an exchange of ideas for promoting tourism in Alba Iulia (to increase the number of tourists and the length of stay in the city) was initiated. In relation to this challenge, Benedito Novo offered his solid experience in working with neighboring municipalities for the establishment of a tourist route in the region. On the other hand, during the visit of Benedito Novo’s delegation to Alba Iulia, a series of presentations were made on the Smart City Project, which brings together collaborative partnerships, government institutions (Ministry of Communications and Information Society), institutions and research units, universities, companies, associations and citizens. As part of the mission, a meeting was held with companies involved in the project. The staff of the Municipality of Alba Iulia and the companies showed their availability to support the replication of this project in Benedito Novo. Following up on this activity, the government and stakeholders of Benedito Novo and Alba Iulia continued to build exchange initiatives.
