Description

This publication marks the closing of the first implementation cycle of the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy (GCoM-LAC) in Latin America and the Caribbean. Through the virtual event held on November 25, we shared and evaluated our progress and reinforced the importance of collective and articulated work to promote a climate-resilient Latin America and the Caribbean, with low emissions and in which sustainable development predominates.
This phase of the Covenant comes to an end, but it will resurface in 2021 more focused on the Americas, after a strategic pause to plan the next steps. We deeply appreciate the work and commitment of the National Coordinators, the strategic support of the members of the Regional Steering Committee and the dedication of the helpdesk team.
