| Description | Cities, the main protagonists in the fight against the climate crisis, have ambitious climate goals and plans. However, they often face challenges in transforming ideas into concrete projects that attract financing. In this highly interactive roundtable session, we will bring together finance experts and representatives of financial institutions with local and regional practitioners to learn from each other. We will discuss various topics related to the development of bankable green projects, available financing sources, and the funding of sustainable urban transformations.
As part of the session, we will hold a recognition ceremony for the Flagship Cities, an initiative funded by the European Union through the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy project and implemented with the technical support of ICLEI South America.
