The city

Zapopan has been committed to the GCoM since 2019 and has already earned medals for adaptation and mitigation. On May 12, 2022, the Municipal Climate Action Program (PMACC) for the Municipality of Zapopan 2021-2030 was approved.

The goal of this plan is to implement actions that promote a 18% reduction in carbon emissions by 2030, as well as increase social and environmental well-being, reducing risks derived from climate change.
