The city
The City of Jesús María has been committed to the GCoM since 2019 and has already earned medals for both adaptation and mitigation.
The city is developing a municipal circular economy strategy to become a reference point in Circular Economy, aiming to raise awareness and educate the population.
Another noteworthy initiative is the promotion of low-emission public procurement across all sectors internally, as well as conducting workshops for waste and emissions reduction in institutions and businesses within the jurisdiction. All of these efforts are planned to be implemented by the year 2030.
