GCoM COMMUNITY

One of the objectives of the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy is the creation of a community which encompasses multiple stakeholders who can share knowledge and experiences on the topic and serve as a basis for future advances. We wish to bring together local, regional and national governments, as well as the private sector, the scientific and research community and other organizations involved in the issue of climate change.

REGIONAL GOVERNANCE

The Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy in Latin America and the Caribbean (GCoM-LAC) is structured with the support of broad governance, capable of providing support to the signatory municipalities.

This structure is made up of a Secretariat and a Regional Steering Committee.

NATIONAL STRUCTURES

The National Advisory Committees are working groups that define National Strategy each year, seeking to unite efforts at local, regional, and national levels and align with the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC).

The National Coordinators are the organizations through which cities can get involved in the Covenant.
