The videos below were recorded during the training workshops for national coordinators held by the European Union’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) in Lima, Peru and San José, Costa Rica in 2018. The goal of the workshops was to train the National Coordinators (NC) of the selected countries and cities in each of them (show-case cities) in the production of Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans (SECAPs) and to build capacity to support the cities in the production of SECAPs.

These capacity building events are part of the strategy to support show-case cities in the production of their own SECAPs. By training national coordinators, we give them the tools to supervise the production of SECAPs and also to support other cities. An important part of the strategy is to produce a methodology and a roadmap (based on the path followed by the show-case cities in aligning SECAPs to the National Determined Contributions of their respective countries) for other cities to produce their SECAPs aligned to the NDCs
